let me know if you have any problems.
and as for CandyBar you can do all that on your own if you know what your doing. Also check out a piece of software called LiteIcon (http://www.freemacsoft.net/LiteIcon/). not as powerful as CandyBar but it's free!!

Since I have very little Mac experience, I may be doing this wrong. After creating the OpenGL ES project, I went to Build Settings, scrolled to Compiler version, clicked and changed it from LLVM GCC 4.2 to GCC 4.2. There's no "ok" or "accept" button so I assume just selecting it will change the settings.
Anyway, after clicking the run button, It still crashed with this error:
http://pastebin.com/GrL71gpv
Note: It's too long so I had to use pastebin.

http://www.hrw.org/en/news/2011/02/27/un-security-council-refers-libya-iccUN: Security Council Refers Libya to ICC
Resolution Aimed at Stemming Violence and Bringing Justice
FEBRUARY 27, 2011
United Nations Security Council diplomats vote on a resolution during a meeting on Libya at UN headquarters in New York on February 26, 2011.
The Security Council has risen to the occasion and given notice to Gaddafi and his commanders that if they give, tolerate, or follow orders to fire on peaceful protesters, they may find themselves on trial in The Hague.
Richard Dicker, director of the International Justice Program
(New York) The United Nations Security Councils unanimous resolution referring Libya to the International Criminal Court (ICC) sends a strong signal to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi and his commanders, as well as other governments in the region, that the international community will not tolerate the vicious repression of peaceful protesters, Human Rights Watch said today.
The resolution adopted on February 26, referred the crisis in Libya to the ICC, imposed travel bans on key Libyan leaders, and froze their assets.
The Security Council has risen to the occasion and given notice to Gaddafi and his commanders that if they give, tolerate, or follow orders to fire on peaceful protesters, they may find themselves on trial in The Hague, said Richard Dicker, director of the International Justice Program at Human Rights Watch.
Human Rights Watch said the Security Councils referral to the ICC appears aimed both at bringing justice to the Libyan people and avoiding more victims.
How ironic that two of the permanent members of the UNSC have invoked the ICC without themselves recognising it.

A PowerBook G5 might never see the light of day, that was one of Apple/Steve Jobs reasons for the Intel switch.
the PPC G5 has a lot of promise, however it also has a lot of heat that goes with the power. And right now there is no way for it to fit in the notebook shell and having decent battery life.
I do not see a PBG5, the life span would be too short and pointless and the effort not even worth it. Intel based PowerBooks will be on the horizon. :)

Why would it not be? If you apply a 90% rate evenly to the top percentile, seems to me it would be quite fair. It would help fund the government assistance programs that will make it easier for him to survive on a paltry $500 million.
There has to be some incentive to work harder. Taxing him at 50% or so would be OK though.

once they come out with the g5 emacs, if they do, could they possibly keep making the older g4's and sell them for $400-$750?
i haven't been able to afford a mac, and a price range such as this would probably mean a great profit for users that are, well, poor.

I just got the Dreamweaver 8 Trial. Finally they make a decent installer for their products!
My impression: They're in desperate need to get someone to fix that horrid UI for Dreamweaver! It looks like an app in its alpha stages, beside the fact that it's a lot less responsive than MX 2004 (which is already slow).

Did anyone else buy a new song? It seemed to me that when I picked up the new Bare Naked Ladies album it downloaded a lot faster and multiple songs at a time now.
Yeah, I downloaded a Murder City Devils song and I too, noticed that it downloaded the song rapidly (I accidently bought the song twice...don't know how:mad: ).
I also noticed song previews run much faster then before.

This has happened to be before, and it was after I downloaded something from cydia that the iPod crashed and couldn't be recognized, then I turned it back on, deleted the newly downloaded package, and everything was fine. Hope this helps!
Thanks, Ill try that later.

Thanks for all the help guys! I was looking for the directory folder where I can put the file so that when xcode runs my program it can detect that file existed.
I found a code where it will tell me the directory : system ("pwd; ls -l");
Now when i run
if([fm fileExistsAtPath:fileName] == NO){

In 2010, Lexus ratchets that

Is this something specifically to do with the Areca 1880 series cards and the Mac Pro 2010 or does this ring true for all other 3rd party RAID controllers?
It's true for any 3rd party RAID controller. It's also true for software based configurations (SATA or SAS ports + software and system resources).
When you previously said this is because one does not have access to firmware/EFI settings and can't change the boot device I am wondering why this is required, wouldn't there be a loader\boot menu that one can bring up? How would I then select between the primary OSX install on SSD1/Areca and Win 7 on SSD2/ICH if there wasn't a boot menu? Or is it simply some kind of limitation that will not allow the Mac Pro to detect and display in the boot menu stage any drives attached to the Areca controller other than the one that was set as boot drive in OSX?
Setting the boot device has nothing to do with it.
Boot Camp + RAID = DO NOT WORK. Period. :(
So keep Windows and OS X on a single disk each (or BC a single SSD attached to the ICH), which isn't a problem. Remember, stripe sets don't improve random access at best, and can actually create a performance penalty over a single disk when using SSD's.

i'd love to know what sentence he wrote with the word "mutter".
and what sentence would make a guy go berserk with a word "nutter" in it.
i can imagine, the sentence would not make a lot of sense.

I keep reading about MacRumors members running into each other at Target, Best Buy, etc. Since this is a huge forum, full of individuals with a shared love for Apple products, I thought I would throw this out there.
Have any of you members met each other in order to make a trade that is mutually beneficial? I ask because I have a brand new, unopened 32GB Black WiFi only iPad 2 that I bought from Target on Wednesday. I haven't opened it because I'm hoping to find a white version with the same specs.
Anyone within 50 miles of Champaign, IL (61820) have an unopened white version and looking to get the black version. If so I would be willing to meet and do a straight up swap somewhere in the middle of our locations.
Chances are slim, and I won't die if I have to wait but I thought I would take a shot. Also, if Target takes back iPads that are opened and don't charge a restocking fee then I guess I could just open the one I have and use it until I find a white version. Anyone else using this tactic?

The US mobile market appears to be totally different to the UK and other countries, in the UK; a phone will work on any network (though some have to be unlocked first), full coverage across the country (except for some remote areas) and most other countries via roaming, short contacts (12 months, with cheaper 18 month contracts recently launched), a wide choice of free phones, texting is massively popular.
You never pay for incoming calls, unless you are abroad and even then it is under 20p a minute in most countries - making outgoing calls in other countries is pretty cheap as well. Competition is growing with prices dropping, plus the EU is forcing price reductions for certain calls.
Single provider bundles of mobile phone, landline phone, cable / satellite tv and broadband is the big thing at the moment and is only going to get more popular.
Whilst the US is their home market it might be easier to launch a phone in another country. They could launch their own mobile service in the UK pretty easily, as there is already a number of mobile providers which don't own their own network and just rent off others. There wouldn't be any need for them to go with a single network either, you don't get much in the way of exclusives in the UK other than colour variations.
Some people seem to think that we don't use mobiles just as mobiles in the UK. Other than texting (which is popular) other services have never taken off - the percentage of people browsing the internet via their mobile is pretty low for example.

I just saw the update available in software update and clicked install. Pity as I wanted to see whether the app store would show it as an update. (I bought Aperture the traditional way rather than through the app store)
The app store icon showed an update was available. This is how I found out about it.

CS5 has nothing to do with app development at all, so it's not important.
For graphics for your apps, there are dozens of other tools out there, you don't need CS5 unless you're a graphics designer and want to do graphics design.
